Boutique Business Consultancy

For some of you, reading the How to Open a Boutique ebook is enough, and that is terrific. For others, they have lists of questions they would like me to answer. For this, I now offer consulting in two capacities.

1. I can consult by the hour to answer questions, review business plans and store layouts, etc.
2. I am available to travel to market week and assist on your first buying trip.

1. For hourly consulting I charge $99 per hour with a 1 hour minimum charge. I recommend you first read the ebook backwards and forwards several times and make a list of questions. That is the best way to do it. We will talk about a million things, but I want to be sure I answer all of the questions you have on your list so we don't forget anything.

I take consulting calls every Friday from 9am to 2pm, Central Mountain Time.

If Friday's don’t work for you due to work or other conflicts, just let me know that too. Send me the times and dates that do work for you and I will be happy to schedule something for you. I know how exciting a time this can be for you and I want to be sure I am there to help you.

2. The more extensive consulting I offer is assistance during your first buying trip. I am willing to meet you at market week (I prefer Vegas or Los Angeles).

I will help you find the great lines, show you how to shop the mart, introduce you to sales reps, teach you how to properly fill out order forms, teach you about quantity orders and how to negotiate.

I will show you how to photograph the items you want to purchase, choose items from product swatches, read line sheets, determine pricing, etc..

I understand going to the mart the first time can be an overwhelming experience... Everything from getting into the show and registering to speaking with the busy sales reps and finding your way through the miles of vendors can be a challenge.

For those of you who would like me to help with that, I can certainly do so and in fact I very much enjoy doing that. I charge $2500 for 3 full days at the mart, plus my air fare.

If you book me a few months in advance the fares are very reasonable.
I understand that might seem a large outlay, but the skills and techniques I teach
you will be well worth that investment.

Of course, I will be available to answer all your questions during this time.
