Having a Financial Plan for your boutique is quite possibly the most important part of your entire Business Plan. Here you will plan for your anticipated Sales Volume, Inventory Budget, Overhead Expenses such as rent, payroll, utilities, etc., and estimate Profits after paying yourself a salary.
You will need to reach a realistic assessment of the viability of your own boutique business before you tie yourself into any long term commitments. You CAN make a success of your fashion business, but you will need to make some informed decisions to do so.

In my book I will take you through the figures using spreadsheets. By the end of the book you wail have a clear grasp on what you need to know, how to get that information, and how to go about using it.
By reading the How to Open a Boutique ebook you will be able to determine the viability of your store, before you open it. I show on fully detailed spreadsheets exactly how to plan the growth of your boutique.
Printable from the book are 25 graphs produced from the spreadsheets.

In my book not only will you have a pre-calculated spreadsheet covering the first year you open a boutique, but also for the whole first five years.
They will make all the difference in the world to the likelihood of you having a successful fashion store.
The How to Open a Boutique ebook includes both printable PDF and interactive Excel spreadsheets that you customize to your own requirements.
You simply enter the expected sales per month for the boutique you plan to open, and the spreadsheet calculates margins, expenses and likely profits for the year!
You can then print off a full 5 years of cash flow projections complete with 25 full color graphs to enable you to see at a glance both the detail and the bigger picture of your planned boutique.
The book and accompanying software are suitable for any type of retail specialty store. You would just adjust the 'margin percentage' figure to suit your sector of the market for your customer base.
Do not worry if you do not understand s as the included program does it all for you! You just type in your numbers following the examples given in the book. Very powerful, but very simple to use.
If you do not have Excel spreadsheet software, my book tells you where to download free software, no need to make Bill Gates of Microsoft any richer than he already is!
If you are not comfortable using spreadsheet software you can print out the sheets directly from the book and customize them by hand following the examples given.

Apart from the many successful strategies I show you to reduce to a minimum all your initial set-up costs, I will also show you how to budget properly.

| Advertising | 600 |
| Bank Merchant Fees | 300 |
| Computer Lease | 200 |
| Exterminator | 30 |
| Freight | 300 |
| Fire Ins & Workers Comp | 350 |
You need to carefully calculate ALL the costs of doing business before you enter the retail market, for example, look at the table on the right. And that's just the first few letters of a very long alphabet!
Obviously it depends upon which type of store you operate, be it a clothing store, or a fashion, bridal, or even a sneaker boutique, (which can be quite profitable).
In the book ALL expenses are covered and you will be able to see at a glance exactly what you will have to factor into your calculations.
You can enter your own specific figures and know ahead of time what your likely outgoings, cost of goods and profits will be.
N.B.If your boutique is in a very high traffic mall, you will plan to pay higher rent but also anticipate greater sales. That's why I included the Spreadsheet software for you to have projections customized to your own boutique or clothing store.
If you are in a "new" neighborhood shopping center without a lot of foot traffic, you may pay lower rents but also you should be budgeting for lower sales per square foot. That is in general. You can also be in a great mall and do poorly and vise versa.
Either way you will be able to keep on track for profitability from day one!
